Dick Smith’s Fun Way Into Electronics was released in 1979. Written by Ross Tester and Sam Voron, it cleverly combined the schematic with an assembly diagram that could be placed on a baseboard. Screws were then used to make electrical connections between parts that were placed on the baseboard.
